NACPB and NACAP

This week we introduce NACAP.

NACAP is the National Association or Certified Accounting Paraprofessionals.

NACAP is the sister organization of NACPB.

Consortia, LLC, is the parent company of Consortia Small Business Accountants (SBA) and Consortia Accounting Business Advisors (ABA).

NACPB primarily works with SBA and NACAP primarily works with ABA.

Purpose

NACPB connects qualified bookkeepers with small business employers.

NACAP connects qualified accounting paraprofessionals with small accounting firms.

Accounting Business System

ABA has developed our proprietary Accounting Business System (System). The Accounting Business System consists of accounting processes, policies, procedures, and steps using today’s most advanced technology and tools.

The System is also designed for maximum efficiency and effectiveness with key personnel.

Bookkeeper Responsibilities (Certified Public Bookkeeper)

Bookkeepers perform the first three steps in the accounting cycle.

  1. Identify financial transactions
  2. Record financial transactions
  3. Classify financial transactions

Accounting Paraprofessional Responsibilities (Certified Accounting Paraprofessional)

Accounting Paraprofessionals perform the next five steps in the accounting cycle.

  1. Prepare unadjusted trial balance
  2. Analyze unadjusted trial balance accounts
  3. Adjust trial balance accounts with adjusting entries
  4. Prepare financial statements

Accounting Analyst Responsibilities (Certified Accounting Analyst or CAA)

Accounting Analysts perform the last three steps of the accounting cycle.

  1. Analyze financial statements
  2. Communicate financial information
  3. Recommend and implement business improvement strategies
