New CPB Requirement

NACPB produces America’s most qualified bookkeepers.

We strive to develop graduates who are best prepared for today’s job market.

Bookkeeping employers prefer candidates with business communication skills.

New Requirement
CPB license candidates are required to complete our Business Communication course and pass the associated Business Communication certification exam.

Exception
If you completed our Payroll Fundamentals course and certification exam, the new course and certification exam are recommended, but not required.

If you haven't completed our Payroll Fundamentals course and exam, the new course and certification are required.

Recommendation
Taking this course provides important skills that make you more marketable.

We recommend CPB licensees take the course and certification exam as part of your annual CPE requirement. The course qualifies for 34 CPE credits.
